Our 2024 Czech Republic salary guide looks at average salaries and benefits across eight sectors. The guide uses data from jobs posted in the Czech Republic to highlight key trends and insights, enabling you to benchmark the average salaries for your workforce across the Czech Republic, or find out what you could be earning.

The Czech Republic is making a slow recovery from the pandemic, hampered by inflation and cost of living pressures.

Recruitment has suffered too, with many organisations struggling to meet their talent acquisition targets using traditional methods. Candidate pools are dwindling, forcing hiring managers to look to widen their criteria when it comes to finding new employees.

To persuade professionals to join your organisation takes more than just a good salary. Workplace flexibility, meaningful work with interesting prospects, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are a few areas of concern to jobseekers – as well as evidence of employer support to health and wellbeing.

Using data from jobs filled by Reed, our 2024 Czech Republic salary guide is the ultimate salary checker, covering eight sectors. By using our guide to inform your average salary, you’ll be able to understand what job roles are worth across the country, helping you to stand out when looking for new employees or searching for your next role. In addition, expert insight paints a picture of the trends influencing the sectors and provides advice for both employers and jobseekers on how to navigate the market in 2024.

To further inform our annual salary guide, we surveyed a portion of workers at the end of 2023. You can read the full highlights in the ‘Our survey says’ section of the guide.

Key findings from our research include:

  • Over half (53%) of workers are very or somewhat happy with the pay they receive, the same as in 2023.

  • Nearly a third (29%) of professionals are unhappy with their current salary.

  • Almost half (45%) of respondents who aren’t satisfied with their salary say it is because it hasn’t risen with the cost of living, while 40% feel they could get paid more elsewhere, and over a third (36%) feel they are unable to save enough money to meet their financial goals.

  • For those who do get employee benefits, the three most common are: flexible hours (69%), a company mobile phone (52%) and an annual salary increase (35%).

“It’s crucial to be ready to swiftly hire skilled and talented people. Given that candidates typically have a variety of options, the pace of the recruitment process significantly influences its overall success.

“I would advise jobseekers to continue to build and maintain professional networks. Engage with experts in your field. Participating in networking events, utilising online platforms, and joining industry associations can open a wealth of opportunities. Networking frequently also helps people understand the employment landscape and provides valuable market insights.”
