AP Accountant with Spanish

Job description

On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an AP Accountant to join their business administrative hub based in Prague. If you speak English and Spanish, and if you have previous experience with AP accounting, then surely keep reading. Your main role will be to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, processing of payments, and handling of external and internal vendor correspondence.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Code and process invoices, matching them to purchase orders
  • Ensure all AP records comply with company and accounting policies
  • Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
  • Prepare payments to suppliers according to the agreed schedule
  • Maintain correspondence with vendors and respond to inquiries as designated
  • Review and approve travel expenses in accordance with legislation and internal policies
  • Create and maintain Vendor Master Data requests as per the agreed process
  • Participate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives
  • Actively participate in training programs

You should match the following:

  • Experience in finance and/or AP accounting department is an advantage
  • Strong technology skills, including PC and web-based applications with a working knowledge of business finance system platforms (e.g., Excel, SAP)
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required, Spanish language skills are an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field preferred
  • Experience in shared service centre environments preferred
  • Strong team player, highly motivated, and eager to learn with a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to work independently, identify problems, and propose solutions
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external parties
