Job Title: Procurement Category Manager (Logistics/SCH)

Role Overview: Seeking a results-oriented Procurement Category Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies in Logistics & Supply Chain (e.g., Domestic/International Transportation, Supply Chain Services). Collaborate with clients to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and service levels, supporting sales, solution design, and expanding procurement control over non-traditional spend areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop senior stakeholder relationships and support account plans.
  • Create strategic category plans to identify cost/productivity improvements.
  • Manage interactions, performance, risk, and innovation with third-party providers.
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects, including strategy development, supplier negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Provide industry and supplier research, market intelligence, and financial analyses.
  • Promote corporate objectives and change initiatives.
  • Manage agreements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Mentor sourcing team on stakeholder and project management.
  • Develop client category structure for monitoring, tracking, and governance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 - 8years in sourcing/procurement/supply chain management, ideally logistics spend areas (e.g., Truckload, Global Ocean, Small Parcel, 3PL/warehousing).
  • Flexibility for travel (up to 25%)
  • Strong communication and independent work capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solution-oriented selling skills and ability to drive transformational change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven track record of building stakeholder relationships.
