Our client, a rapidly growing EU-based fintech company, is establishing a development hub in Prague. Specializing in innovative software solutions for online merchants and businesses, the company collaborates with European banks and global payment institutions to provide comprehensive online payments, card services, and crypto solutions. As the Dev Tech Lead, you will spearhead web application development, manage engineering teams, and ensure seamless project execution. This role blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership, promoting team growth and delivering outstanding results. In an Agile environment, you will follow modern coding standards and incorporate AI-driven solutions to drive innovation.

What will you do

• Lead and mentor engineering teams in the development of scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to plan, refine, and execute product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Oversee technology decisions and architecture design, ensuring the team adheres to the best practices of software development.
• Actively participate in coding, primarily focusing on PHP and JavaScript, and employing modern tools such as ChatGPT and AI-driven development optimizations.
• Implement clean, reusable, and maintainable code with a focus on decoupled, Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architectures and microservices.
• Drive the transformation of legacy codebases into maintainable, scalable, and high-performance systems
• Conduct A/B testing to assess the impact of various features, optimize user engagement, and improve conversion rates.
• Manage third-party integrations and ensure the team can deliver seamless data management and payment processing solutions.
• Foster a collaborative and autonomous team culture, ensuring open communication and clarity in objectives.
• Lead the continuous improvement of development processes, utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
• Ensure the use of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and version control systems (Git) to manage smooth deployments and infrastructure scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or Senior Developer, specializing in PHP and JavaScript development.
• Strong background in modern frameworks and other web technologies.
• Expertise in microservice architectures, API development, and integration testing with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a track record of driving team growth and delivering complex projects on time.
