Finance & Business Partner

Job description

One of our clients is seeking a Finance and Business Partner who will help refresh the financial operations by designing new financial operating and reporting models. Your main responsibilities:

  • Re-architecting the finance accounting and reporting model
  • Hygiene accounting excellent skills in double entry book keeping, compiling monthly cash flows, taxes, P&L and balance sheet for management/leadership
  • Supporting junior AR/AP team member in invoicing and banking daily/weekly/monthly processes
  • Developing new management / insight reports to help drive the business forward and lead in monthly numbers reviews with leadership
  • Leading on ad-hoc projects involving finance eg Pricing models, margin/profit analysis, annual forecasts, industry/competitor analysis etc
  • Helping develop an internal process/model for new Czech tax rebates. Oversee and manage process from implementation (early 2025)
  • Daily close working relationship with one owner and Global Strategy Head to help drive the business from the top
  • Occasional ad-hoc projects to support business strategy or development (market/competitor analysis and metrics) or new/refined pricing models etc.

Who are we looking for:

  • Excellent support in running a finance department (overseeing both accounting and bookkeeping work to produce monthly/quarterly cash flow / P&L and Balance sheets as well as internal management/financial reporting, forecasting, profitability models/analysis.
  • Experienced in designing month end reporting packages in Excel or PowerPoint and have worked on presenting numbers and results/analysis.
  • Expecting 4-5+ years’ experience
  • CIMA/ACCA/Equivalent
  • Advanced MS Excel. Any recognised accounting software. PowerPoint presentations to incorporate excel outputs with commentary
  • Personality Fit: The company is based in Prague and has many locals at the core of the business (including two owners) but daily interactions will be with many nationalities and will require excellent English and therefore a cultural fit with a more English/American culture of proactive work and positivity is needed. Fitting in as a character with leadership is very important.
  • Communication and language skills: Impeccable English and Czech required.
