Our client, one of the largest IT and business consulting firms globally with an office in Prague, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Engineer for a banking project.
Duration: 1-2 years (Full-Time) with the possibility to extend in freelancing cooperation, 2-3 days on-site in Prague 2
What will you do
- Develop and maintain data analytics solutions, including data pipelines and reporting, leveraging our data lake (Big Data) and relational databases.
- Monitor database jobs and suggest improvements to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Liaise effectively with both business and development teams to ensure alignment of data solutions with business objectives.
Techstack & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Big Data Analytics
- ETL/ELT Development: Hand-code data integration processes, with experience in tools like Apache NiFi being a plus
- Big Data Technology Stack: Utilize a strong command of Big Data technologies, with a significant advantage given to experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery). Responsibilities include job monitoring (e.g., Ambari), performance tuning, and debugging execution plans. (2+ years of experience)
- Query Languages: Proficiency in HiveQL or relational SQL for data manipulation and query execution. (3+ years of experience)
- Scripting: Develop scripts using languages such as BASH, Python, and VBA to automate and streamline data processes.
- BI Reporting: Create and optimize business intelligence reports, with a preference for advanced knowledge or certification in Qlik (data model and Load Script optimization are significant advantages).
