On behalf of a well-known international company specialised in visual digital entertainment, we are currently looking for an experienced Business Controller/Finance Business Partner. We’re seeking a dynamic individual to conduct business control activities and processes within European operations.

The company has about 150 employees in their business centre in Prague, out of which 50% of them are expats mainly from Europe. You would work in a friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear and timely performance reports to sales, finance, and budget holders, focusing on revenue, sales deductions, and margins.
  • Conduct statistical trend analysis of country P&Ls against trends, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure visibility of country-level cost structures and drive decisions to improve cost control.
  • Manage long-term and short-term country P&L forecasts.
  • Oversee sales deductions, provisions, and OFSE. Prepare monthly control calculations for sales provisions and expenses.
  • Approve sales contracts, customer commitments, and vendor POs. Provide financial analysis and risk management advice.
  • Ensure effective country budget planning with a focus on OFSE. Identify problem areas and suggest improvements.
  • Partner with internal customers, especially the Sales Lead, to understand and prioritize their needs. Support strategic customers to grow revenues and margins.
  • Manage audit requirements for revenue to margin analytics, focusing on sales deductions. Support internal and external audits and tax-related items.
  • Maintain and improve professional knowledge and work towards self-development goals. Assist European F&A leadership with special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Min. 3 years of experience on a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics/BA/Finance is a must
  • Background in finance (education or experience) is a must
  • Proficient in MS Excel (main working tool)
  • IFRS knowledge is a must, IFRS 15 is a plus
  • Understanding of the PnL for reporting
  • SQL is a big advantage
  • SAP or other ERP working knowledge is a must
  • Being adaptable, working in a changing environment
  • Fluent English, German is a huge advantage
