About the Role:
You'll oversee the daily operations of the Accounting office, ensuring compliance with Czech local regulations and Czech Accounting Principles. You'll support the Finance Director and Assistant Finance Director in managing all financial aspects of the entity's operations, making sure all local and corporate policies are followed.
What You'll Do:
- Get familiar with the Accounting & Finance Manual, company policies.
- Handle the month-end process, including preparing financial statements, accruals, and journal entries. Maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in the required formats.
- Prepare and coordinate monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet and bank accounts, resolving any outstanding items.
- Perform daily, monthly, and periodic accounting and financial reporting accurately and on time.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of counts, prices, and valuations.
- Ensure income is recorded correctly and generate accurate Daily Business Reports.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting, and help department heads with their annual labor budgets.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Knowledge: Excellent understanding of taxes and local regulations. Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer equipment, Excel, and systems like Sun, iScala, and Opera. Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen.
- Requirements: EU Work Authorization and fluency in English.
- Industry: Knowledge and experience from the hospitality environment (hotels)
