Global Application and Integration Consultant

Job description

For our client - world leader in motion and fluid control technologies we are currently searching a suitable candidate in a position of Application and Integration Consultant. You will be part of the global team. Working with multiple teams on analysis, scoping, development, implementation, and documentation of digital exchanges such as B2B, B2C, B2G, C2C which will include ERP and Application integrations, interfaces with peripheral applications and Supply Chain solutions.

You will ensure change management, system availability and data integrity are always maintained.

You will coordinate with IT teams, stakeholders, business teams and third-party service providers to create interchanges across multiple platforms to meet the business requirements.

Main RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform business process and gap analysis, system design and development. 
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, ensure test scenarios are comprehensive and project governance procedures are applied.
  • Create templated, re-usable processes and mapping components to maximise onboarding efficiency.
  • Provide digital application and data integrations with a variety of communications protocols and web architecture.
  • Work with business community, IT test and support team members.
  • Ensure all development follows agreed standards and naming conventions.
  • Carry out thorough impact analysis on any change or addition to existing processes.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance data validation.
  • Carry out error investigation, fix and support activities to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Produce high quality documentation.
  • Provide end user support and training where required, etc.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrable mix of skills including technical ability with high level of innovative thinking.
  • Ability to analyse, investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience working in multi-platform, multi format, cross system interface environments including global ERP systems.
  • Experience with supply chain and business process flows.
  • Knowledge of middleware software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts.
  • API integrations.
  • Understanding of digital communication technologies including API, SFTP, AS2/3 etc.
  • Ability to read and understand complex documents and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and issues clearly and concisely between IT and business.
  • Demonstrate IT best practices.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office Tools
