IAM Manager

Job description

Join the IT community of IT enthusiasts, based in Prague, a start-up mindset and become part of an international team with unlimited opportunities. As the IAM Engineering Manager you oversee the IAM product engineering workforce and practices. You drive digital transformation, manage a team of 25 IT professionals, handle HR tasks, and lead several teams while collaborating on Ways of Working.

What will you do

  • Oversee team composition, identifying gaps between required skills and current qualifications. Maintain strong connections with the PM and EM, and foster collaboration with colleagues.
  • Lead, coach, and develop employees by evaluating their qualifications and career goals. Act as a mentor, building an empowered, delivery-focused team. Promote a culture of ownership and cooperation.
  • Ensure high availability through configuration management and effective incident management. Transform teams into future-ready software delivery organizations using modern practices like CI, automated deployments, and monitoring.
  • Support teams in planning and delivering complex features, integrations, and reliability topics, ensuring high software quality before production.
  • Coach teams to represent the organization at conferences, in articles, and open source, enhancing the organization's Product Engineering reputation. Act as a role model in promoting the organization in the labor market and speak at engineering conferences.
  • Attract and hire talent both internally and externally, ensuring high quality in the selection of new hires.
  • Make decisions related to salaries, team training development, and tooling. Manage the team's budget.
  • Enhance the medium and long-term performance of the team, creating a good skill mix and positive mindset with the right team dynamics.

Requirements

  • A general understanding of IAM at a technical level (not at an engineering level) is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with a technical background.
  • Management knowledge of modern product development practices 
  • Stakeholder management, understanding of customers and their needs.
  • Good storytelling skills, experienced in conveying problems to be solved to the teams, and the value of the product to customers.
  • Finance and cost optimization management. Knowledge of the finance environment and products on a technical level is plus.
  • Willingness to travel a few days each month to other office in Europe.
  • A university degree is required.
  • Go to the office at least once a week.
