Toolchain Project Manager – Excitation Systems

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the field of generator excitation systems? Join a dynamic international team and contribute to new and innovative solutions that drive the future of energy.

What will you do:

  • Capture and define global business requirements for the engineering toolchain, incorporating feedback from different regions (Europe, Americas, AIMEA, China)
  • Translate business needs into Windchill (PLM) format requirements for tool setup and development
  • Direct and manage the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Windchill for PLM
  • Coordinate the integration of UNIsmart, Windchill, M-CAD (Creo), and E-CAD (E3) in the toolchain
  • Ensure that the final tool chain is well integrated with SAP for production and sourcing/purchasing processes
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align tool functionality with business requirements and processes
  • Provide training and support to users on Windchill and the overall toolchain
  • Manage relationships with remote development teams (e.g.: Infosys) for tool development and customization
  • Regularly report the project’s status and updates to key stakeholders

What will you need:

  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into technical solutions
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools, especially Windchill, is preferred
  • Familiarity with Windchill functionality, including BOM transformation, options and variants, document management, and SAP integration
  • Some experience or flair for working with engineering tools (M-CAD/E-CAD) and an understanding of configuration/customization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate global input for a unified tool-chain solution
  • Comfortable with the complexity of a multinational organization and various regional requirements
  • Good communication and training skills for engaging with a global user base
  • Previous project management experience in PLM or engineering-related projects is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in English and Czech
  • Ability to speak German is a big plus
