On behalf of our prestigious client specialised in dental care manufacture, we are currently seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join a GL team in Prague which will be responsible for US GAAP standards, SOX compliance and internal controls of assigned legal entities.

You would be part of a senior GL team, doing complex accounting activities in a wide scope of work with no repetitive tasks. There is a high potential to grow vertically or horizontally (toward a team leading role or move to financial analysis if preferred).
Your Responsibilities:
- Various complex activities within the Record-to-Report processes, adhering to US GAAP standards.
- Accurate and timely month-end reporting, closing, reconciliations.
- Monthly accruals and prepayments documentation preparation.
- Balance sheet reconciliation and monthly review & analysis preparation.
- Statutory accounts and tax returns preparation.
- Performance of internal controls, including SOX compliance insurance
- Internal and external audits support.
Requirements:
- +4 years of experience in GL accounting
- Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processes
- VAT and Corporate taxes
- Educational background in Finance/Accounting
- Advanced knowledge of English (B2 min.)
