An EU-based fintech company is expanding its development hub in Prague. Specializing in innovative software solutions for online merchants and businesses, it collaborates with European banks and global payment institutions to provide comprehensive online payments, card services, and crypto solutions.

The ideal candidate for this hybrid role will ensure successful product delivery across various locations, drawing on extensive experience to make decisions, delegate tasks, and motivate teams. You’ll need to draw on your extensive experience to make decisions, delegate tasks, and motivate teams. This role involves working across all business areas, servicing multiple clients, and defining business requirements in line with our overall roadmap. As the Product Owner, you’ll manage the workflow and product backlog, ensuring everything is delivered on time and within budget while continuously improving our products. You’ll report to the Head of Development and collaborate closely with the Product Team, keeping stakeholders informed of project progress. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in a similar role, experience with in-house software development, proficiency in Jira, and solid knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Key responsibilites

  • Develop deep domain knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Lead and document requirements, use cases, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and deploy large-scale operations.
  • Ensure positive client experience and adoption.
  • Partner with team leadership for successful business solution delivery.
  • Communicate progress and achievements against KPIs and OKRs.
  • Provide QA support and execute the development roadmap.
  • Track and use product KPIs for decision-making.
  • Mitigate blockers and delays in achieving sprint goals.
  • Update stakeholders with progress reports and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Improve cross-team delivery processes with Agile Coaches.
  • Align with the Technical Lead on team and product matters.
  • Research competitors, market, and users for analysis.
  • Produce documentation for product awareness and technical build.
  • Facilitate workshops for product development requirements.
  • Provide detailed reporting and forward planning for sprints.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in FinTech as a product owner for payments, online banking, card issuance, or blockchain products.
  • Location is flexible and travel is required. Every two months, visit the team in Moldova, Sofia, and Bucharest.
  • Strong stakeholder management at various levels.
  • Consistent academic achievement.
  • Team management in a matrix/virtual organization.
  • Highly organized with effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Persuasive, confident, diplomatic, and a quick learner.
  • Proficiency in English; Russian is a plus.

Desirable

  • Business Analysis qualification.
  • Product Management certification.
  • PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience with third-party management, legal, and finance teams.
  • Managing overseas team members.
  • Regulatory compliance or ISO certification.
