We are seeking a Chief Accountant for our client, a company in the gaming industry renowned for its innovation and commitment to player satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead the accounting team and oversee the comprehensive accounting functions for the main entity and its two subsidiaries. This role is perfect for an experienced accounting professional who excels in team development and optimizing financial processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Ensure accounting is performed in accordance with CZ GAAP and assist in the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements
- Oversee the full accounting management for three companies, collaborating closely with the Finance Manager and internal Controlling Department
- Maintain accuracy in financial operations, including monthly and annual closings, complex transactions, and the control and posting of domestic and international invoices. This includes various accounting types such as e-shop transactions, accruals, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Manage receivables, payables, and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting, including VAT, corporate income tax, and property tax
- Prepare supporting documents for audits and tax returns
- Provide methodological guidance and support to a team
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize processes and enhance digitalization and automation efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Helios iNuvio
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Proven experience in leading a small team
- Background in an international company
- Advanced English skills, particularly in written communication
- Knowledge of e-commerce accounting is advantageous
- Experience in VAT and OSS reporting due to global B2C e-shop sales
