As a Global Commodity Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in setting performance targets, implementing global and regional category strategies, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for machines, commodities and services within the factory (industrial MRO).
- Develop and implement global and regional category strategies.
- Monitor market conditions and negotiate, implement, and manage contracts.
- Engage with global suppliers, initially within Europe.
- Drive supplier selection and development processes.
- Assist with tactical procurement processes, including potential use for other markets.
- Carry out analyzes and look for savings opportunities.
Requirements:
- Experience in global commodity management within a manufacturing company.
- Technical background with an understanding of machine documentation.
- Global oversight and familiarity with manufacturing machinery.
- Proficiency in English
Personality Traits:
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of management.
- Resilience, self-motivation and very good organizational skills are key for this global remote collaboration.
Business Trips:
- Approximately 20-30% of your time, visiting suppliers and factories (mostly within Europe).
